Fire & Rescue
Jefferson County Fire Rescue provides All Hazards Response, Basic and Advanced Life Support treatment and transport for all incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county. The department staffs dual-certified Firefighter/Paramedics and Firefighter/EMTs. We are supported by Ashville, Lloyd, Monticello, and Wacissa volunteer firefighters.

Law Enforcement
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement countywide: (850) 997-2523 · jcso-fl.org. The City of Monticello is also served by the Monticello Police Department, and Interstate 10 by the Florida Highway Patrol.
